I've been reading about some of you guys going in to change your radio. Is it because the radio keeps getting stuck when it flips out (or refuses to flip in). This has been happening to me for a while and I'm tired of it. The service write told me to pull the fuse but I'm tired of doing that too. Can I get a new radio because of this - under warranty?

This use to happen to me too. I went the first time and they fixed it then it happened again so I brought it back in and they fixed it again and now it hasnt done it in a while. I dont think it matters whether you get a new radio cause it seems like everyone is having the same problem. Thats Kenwood for you. I would just get another radio.

This really sucks man. Wonder if there'll be a TSB for it.

I found I had problems when I tried programming a lot of information in. Now I just program the sound levels and don't mess with anything else besides what is displayed. Otherwise it flips and quits. I can't explain why, but for the past 8 months with it set up very simple it does just fine.

There is an option for it to flip open and stay open for 0, 3 or 20 seconds. Set it to 0.

Is there also an option for it to open midtrack on a song for no apparent reason? Because that would be the problem.

i think that this radio is good in the first 8 and 9 months but after you will have a lot of problems with it. If you still have the same problems after you fixed change the radio. My sub broke and the dealer didn't fixed so i decided to buy another one better than this one.

I've had no problems w/ the hu, but this sub is starting to let go. JL 8w3v2 is on the way!

i just got my faceplate replaced today. waited over a month for the unit to come in. it's nice to have a faceplate that actually flips open and closes like it's supposed to.

Mine has now been broke for a month. For the 4th time. Im really tired of it and havent even had the determination to go in and bitch about it. I really should though.. someday
