I have a major problem with my Racing Mazda Header. I cant get it to seal right where it bolts up to the collector. I have to tighten up the bolts every other day, my question is, can this thing be welded together?
Thanks for the help,
Anthony

after i had problems installing, i just took it in to a friend who is a mechanic and had him patch up any leaks i may have had. the stock 8 bolts connecting the header to the block are too long i think also. i say just get it professionally looked at so u have nothing to worry about in the future - chris

you mean where it bolts to the block or the middle? (8 bolts or 3?) I had a bitch ass time getting mine to seal in the middle, blew 3 gaskets and went through 2 sets of bolts.

the solution? doubled up gaskets (sandwiched) with high temp rtv (for gaskets, looks like peanut butter) on both sides of both gaskets, then getting in there with a fatty wrench and tighting them on kinda like you tighten the wheels, get them snug, then tighten the one in the fron, then rear right, rear left, then go through and double check them

with mine, it felt like it was tight, but the entire exhaust was pulled down (gravity) and it left a gap

what a pain in the ass, haha, but it works now! :D

what "EXACALY" happens when you blow a gasket? do you rip it apart or does it deform or what?
