the left fog looks very unfinished in the top pic. maybe it's the sun. perhaps a bit bigger of a fog light won't make it look like it's too small a light in too big an enclosure.

They fogs are a little too small.
that's what i was thinking as well... but those damn 607s don't seem to show up so i went for 605s.
the fog on the left-hand side of the pic seems to catch the light such that a little bend in the wooden plate looks like a streak.
on the plus side those things light up like hell!
oh well, if i can't make something nice out of them (probably in november when i come back from work), i still have the grills so....

sorry man but I think fog lights are being over done, and if they dont' look professional it just doesn't work. nice mod though, doing anything on your own deserves some props.

Too small IMO..get them larger and you are good to go....as noted by others...but good mod..and even better that you posted pics for others to see and decide on a similar mod for themselves.

if you have a cai won't it block airflow?

re-try it with bigger fogs, good job for 1st try though.

also you should probably paint the foglight holders the same color as the car, so it will look almost like they aren't there.

The P5 CAI works fine with fogs in that basic location as I understand so I don't think blocking airflow is an issue.
I don't have an MSP so I can't see the design, but are those two cutouts where he's putting the fogs completely open to the location of the CAI or is there something covereing them anyway?

There's an idea to think about...... Thanks for all the opinions (and the advice), it's greatly appreciated. No cai yet, this is the first mod (possibly the only external one)....

The 03's have fogs from the factory and CAI's work just fine

thanks for the replies everyone, it pretty much confirms my initial thoughts. So, they'll stay that way for the summer, although i might paint the plate titanium as was suggested above during my 10 day vacations in august. Next fall though might be another story altogether.......

I think your headed in the right direction -
I was going the fog light route as well - now I will hold off until fall -
I was going to either Wire EDM or mill out some new inserts that were cross-hatched like the stockers but with a hole for my FET 85W Ion Fogs-
But now Im going to hold off on the fogs - now its time for more frech air - stay tuned -

Gave ya a so-so rating only because you have seatbelt covers which I don't like, and you need to cover up the exposed bolt heads...paint or something...
