Okay, well i am still tire shopping, i came very close to buying the bridgestone potenza s03 from tirerack.com for 168 dollars each! a little spendy. Id like to spend less so i decided to look around some more. No matter where i go i cant find any solid reviews on tires i look at. Anyway i was looking on discounttiredirect.com and i came across these http://discounttiredirect.com/direct/findTireDetail.do?step=details&productType=TIRE&source=vehicle&index=2&productCodeIndex=40217

They are the Nitto NeoGen ZR's. They have twice the tread life of the oe tires and i have heard alot of good things about this company. Best part they are 396 for all 4 and free shipping! Opinons thoughts please?!

Don't buy cheap tires that's what the Wife's car is for. I put Yokohama AV ES100's on her car. (lol2) They aren't too bad.

I like the S03 and thought about them but ended up with Goodyear F1 GS-D3's.
I bet the Nittos are close to ok. I just can't stand to compromise on tires.
I read about 100 shootout's and the F1 GS-D3, Toyo T1-S, and S03 allways seem to come out on top.
Allthough the cheap bug was biting awfully hard about some Kuhmo Escta MX's.
I was really considering these until I found out they wear out very quickly.
But for 117.00$ apiece and sticky I was close to buying them. I ended up paying around 147.00$ a tire for my F1 GS-D3's mounted and balanced.

yes well right now im riding on a donut and 3 bald re040s, so i think that the nittos would be a big improvment. I am all for the so3s but i dont think they will last as long. Plus the price difference and money is a little tight now.

What about some Kuhmo Escta 712's? They are very affordable and are a good tire. Not as good as the high ends but hey for the money they are damn good.
I think they run about 88-90 a tire.
Those new Fuzion tires are suppose to be ok. They are made by Bridgestone and cost 77.00$ apiece at www.Tirerack.com (http://www.tirerack.com/) Let's see now that's 308.00$ for a whole set! Money savers for sure and they look like good tires.

i think that the nitto are the best choice after the yokohama .Just review the trade wear and the performance and then make your best choice. price nitto very nice tires and good grip.

I have them on my car now, and got them from the same place you're looking at.....I personally love them....have a great looking tread pattern, and grip like a MoFo! With all this rain I can also safely say that they are very good in it.

I've got the neo gens. Had them for about 8 months now. Definately wear slower than the oems and pretty good grip. Not *quite* as good as I had hoped.

so the nittos dont handle or corner as well as the oem? they arent as sticky? Ugh now what. I dont want yoko AVS;s had em on my GSR and they arent anything special, maybe toyo proxe 4's? but arent the neogens good in to snow? my god too many tires!! still need help makin a decision. I want something that will handle as well or better then OE and last longer. Rain traction is important, and hey if it can drive in the snow then woo hoo. (like the neo gens, i think) anything to add please say so! thanks

Neo gen's are absolute CRAP in snow. But pretty good grip for the money. I'd buy them again as I am no required to drive in snow.

well...they do have the M+S rating, but I wouldn't count on them for snow either. I think that just has to do w/ the tread pattern. Like I said though, I really like them, for cosmetic as well as handling reasons. I'd say get them...but that's just my $0.02

Just get the ones you like and can afford. I got the F1 GS-D3's because they FUCKING OWN!
The Nitto's are good, the Kuhmos are good, the AV ES100's are good they are all good budget tires. If you are really cheap then get the Fuzion or a Chinese made knock off for even less. But hurry the hell up your date is getting mad!(fight)

Please do tell me what you think of them. My potenza's are pretty much shot, i'm even with the tread wear indicators all the way around. So i'm lookin to get new tires too, the only reason I haven't is because I quit driving the MSP everyday now.

Try the Nitto NT-450's,they are awesome!DRY,RAIN,or even snow!
I had 18's on my last car and they went through the snow like it was their job!
Nt555's are the shit as well!

Don't ever compare treadware ratings between different brands. A 300 treadware means that the tire wears 300% better than that brands worst performing tire. So, if a company has a really shitty tire the treadware rating will be up high for a decent tire. When you look a good companies like Michelin, you see that there ratings are lower, but they can last 40K. Just a little bit of info. The Nitto NeoGen's are good cheap tires, my girlfriend has a set on her Miata, and they are already down to 8/32's after 5K miles, but that is expected with a ZR rated tire.
