Hey everyone!
Just picked up a new Mazda6 hatch last week! I have always liked the Mazda6 but when I saw this awesome bright red hatch in the showroom I could resist no longer. It looks really sporty and has alot more storage capacity too. Got it loaded right up with the V6, gfx, leather, bose system, and sport auto (forced to get the auto by girlfriend). Anyways, so far I just love the car. Took these picks today.

Looks like someone else on this board beat me to the hatch. Oh well...(second)
I used to have a 1990 Mazda 626 GT turbo 4 door hatchback. It was my first car and it kicked ass. The 6 hatch is basically a refined and much improved version of the same car so I am really excited about it. 4 door mid-size hatchbacks few and far between and I've never been able to figure out why because they look so cool!
I totally agree with you. This is our first hatchback and we love the functionality/practicality and very much appreciate the good-looking packaging. Mazda made the hatch look very much like a regular sedan and I think that might win over people who don't like typical hatch styling but really want the extra cargo space that they offer. Mz6s are fairly rare around here but the hatch might change that...who knows. Regardless, we're very happy with ours as well.

Yeah, it seems to really suit this car. Never much liked red cars until I saw this one in the showroom. They had 3 others on the lot. Grey, Silver, and black, but this color totally won me over. Adds to the sporty look I think.

I'm jealous beyond words. But congrats :)
I couldn't wait, so I bought the sedan. The deals were amazing too, and I was at the end of the 2 year window on the 500 grad rebate ;) SO now I have a sedan that I've already enjoyed for 14K miles. But if I were buying now - no question - I'd get a red (or blue) hatch :)

True... but if she didn't make most of the coin I wouldn't have the car!

Your 6 looks sweet! I was originally going to get a 6, but the dealer did'nt have the color that I was looking for (yet alone a V-6 w/ a standard). Then I stumbled upon my MSP. But....if Mazda ever dose decide to come out w/ a MSP6 that looks as good as your hatch....i'm there!!!(thumb)

Hey Garfinkle, are you happy with your car? I'm seriously considering a v6 manual loaded in charcoal grey - hatchback. Where did you buy from and did you get a good deal? I'm in TO as well.

I paid somewhere around $33,500CDN for it (MSRP is $34,295 for the loaded auto). They had a grey one in the showroom while I was there but I can't remember if it was manual or not. As for the car, I have no complaints. It's fantastic and I strongly suggest you test drive one right away. In my opinion the hatch looks way cooler than the sedan, and it is more practical because of the extra storage space. Handling is amazing, ride is sweet, stock stereo is decent if you get the bose, plus you get alot of luxury car features if you get the loaded V6 like I have such as digital auto climate control, 6 disc in dash cd changer, auto dimming mirror with homelink, heated leather seats, outside/inside temperature display, electric seat adjustment etc... Engine is great and very quiet but I think the accord and altima are a little peppier. It pulls really hard in the high RPM area so if you test drive one make sure you get the engine spinning fast.
