For those of you who have converted your CAI's to SRI' did the turkey get noticeably quieter? I used to have an injen and sold it. Now I have the AEM but couldn't fit the filter on due to my hardpipes from the front mount (I will address this problem later, but I was installing the intake in the parking garage at school). My question is I converted the AEM to an SRI for now, and the turkey is not near as loud as it was when I had the injen cai on my car. Its still there but not super loud. I just want to know if this is normal?

Whats a turkey??
Its a large, ground dwelling bird, that tastes really raelly good cooked for several hours, and stuffed with braed crumbs, veggies and spices.
Sides include mashes potatoes, bread rolls, corn, and many others.
Every year on the 3rd Sunday in November, america celebrates Thanksgiving, in which millions of US houseselds cook and eat a Turkey!
Also goes good on sandwhichs.. mmmm.

I'm thinking it is because the bpv is mounted vertically rather than horizontally. I'm not running stock pipes that is why it is vertical. That must be the reason. Everything seems fine, holds boost well, and now sounds more like a bov rather than a turkey, but the turkey can still be heard.

turkey is quiter with AEM for the same reason it's quiter with K&N Typhoon.
PLASTIC ELBOES.
injen uses metal return pipe while AEM uses plastic and rubber as return pipe.
also if u shorten the tube of the intake, sound waves dont get amplified as much as in the CAI.......they dont have enough room to get louder.
i'm pretty sure that now u get a more of a "flutter", almost like if u say letter "f" fast many times...........more like a whooosh.
i made a custom return pipe on injen CAI using water hose.
all we had was a small nipple on the CAI and the hose ran from BPV to the nipple.
turkey was almost gone.......almost like the stock sound.
