I did a search but can't find anything. I need a help installing the front mask into my P5. Thanks everyone

Pic 2 : the passanger side, same question, where do I put the strip?

Pic 3 : There is something about female button snap. How does it look like? Does this female button come with the bra? I buy the bra for used one so I don't get any clip. Can I but it from the dealer?

The straps on each side go to the headlight mounts (see the 10MM bolt holding the black plastic of the headlight assembly to the core support, between the hood rubber snubber and the fender?) The straps hook to the headlight mounting tab just in front of the core support. The female part of the snap replaces the plastic fastener at 2 points in each fender well. It also looks like you don't have the fenders inserted into the pockets of the mask, just above the corner lights, this part should fit snug as a second skin on the fender tip.

So should I buy the female part of the snap from the dealer? I can't use the stock plastic fasterner in each fender well then. What do you mean that I don't have the fenders inserted into the pockets of the mask? Thanks for the help

You should go back try and get the female snaps from the seller's car, maybe swap 'em for your fasteners. I think they will be difficult to get otherwise, unless you can rig something up.

thanks for the info. I will call mazda first on monday, hopefully they sell those female snaps separately with the bra. any guess how much it will cost for 4 female snaps? $5 ?

$5 sounds about right. If that doesn't work out, maybe someone here will help you out with a swap or a sell. Good luck :)

I scanned in the installation instructions for you. Hopefully they help a bit. Installation isn't too bad on this.

Go here to check out the instructions. I scanned them in pretty high quality so they'd be easy to read. The files are just JPG images, but they're about 1MB each.

If you can't get the female snaps from Mazda, Honda dealers sell a better version that has a rubber backing, you just pop it in the hole and tighten the screw and it expands the rubber holding it in place. Re: front fender corners, there is a small vinyl pocket that the pointy part of the front fender (just above the corner lights) slips into before you attach the plastic clips to the underhood/fender seam lip. BTW it's common when buying used stuff to be missing some small parts I've learned, :)

No problem. If you need any pics, I could certainly take a few to show you how mine is installed.

I have to imagine that you could get those female snap screws from Mazda. I'd be suprised if they couldn't find you some.
