Todya, went to a lacrosse game and the parking lot at the school was you park in this grass field. So i parked in it. Then leaving, I had no trouble backing out and stopping. THen going straight out of the grass was hard, because it was a slight incline but not to much. So i get going and the clutch is out at about 1500 rpm in first the tires would just spin and the car would squirm a little. So I tried again and still could not get traction. WOuld have hurt the clutch trying it in second gear. SO i kept slipping the clutch at low speeds in first but still was spinning all over. People were looking at me like I did not know how to drive or something. So moral of story, dont park in moist grass fields or you have fun getting out.

Should have just started in 2nd. The same thing happens in snow & ice (even with snow tires)...I needed to start in 2nd gear a lot.

Doesn't hurt to start in 2nd, only will hurt if you're horrible with the clutch, and always start from first. Most driving schools suggest you start froom first on any slippery surface....but it sounds like you had fun with the slippage....how long did it take you to get out? Did it eventually grab in first?

it took me about 5 minutes to get out. I slowed my way up the hill and when it would stop moving i immediately let off the gas pushed the clutch in and let it roll ball so i did not dig a hole. But yeah it was fun. Once i got towards the top I was able to get out but the tires were still spinning like crazy but it was fun, so glad i had the lsd otherewise i would have been screwed.
