I thought it was funny with the thread about the guys wife going to get a P5 and everyone saying do it man do it. Then you look later and its like, My wife is going to get a Dodge Neon! Yeah! People started saying "Dont get a neon what the hell?"

ClubSi had an awesome prank. About 1.5 years ago, they switched from an old version of their forum software to a new version. It was controversial (kind of like here) because everybody liked the old look much better.

So anyhow, the admin wrote a thread on March 31st saying "I fucked up" explaining how the database was corrupt, and his backup scripts had been backing up to a full harddrive and not getting them completely backed up, and his last complete backup was from Oct. 2001.

So everybody was like "Is it back!? The old forums?" people were pissed because of missing PMs etc with the new software, a bunch of banned members were back etc. But he put it back later that evening. It was funny, and some of the old posts they revived were hilarious.

I guess it could have been worse. This is the second year in a row Neon.org has done the fools switch. Neon changed to Yugo, SRT changed to Super Yugo, N.Y.G. - snotrockets, tires - round rubber things, cars - zoom zoom, etc... Some of thread were very confussing. Laughter is such a wonderful thing.

The Thunderbird and Cougar Club of America (TCCOA) did a MASSIVE swap of their board last year's april fools. A big animation came up that knocked their logo out and put in place "The Civic Club Of America" and when you went into the board, the entire thing was in new colors and layouts and had forums like "Rice of the Day" and all sorts of crazy things. Every forum was renamed. Everyone on that board SWORE it had gotten hacked and were SOOO pissed.. it was hysterical because my younger brother is a member and he was all wigged out about it :)
