They gotta weight about 50lbs right? I'll make a banana dance if someone could get me those weights real quick.

I just took both of mine out last Friday to clean the interior & they aren't bad, but they are hefty. It's a real pain to take them out & put them back again.

the 39lbs was my drivers seat not too bad as far as stock seats go.

Sweet... that still means 25 lbs savings per side with the new seats.
Thanks guys.
Forgot to make the banana dance.

Sparco Sprints and Speeds weight in right over 15lbs which is the legal weight cap for STX.

39lbs is just for the driver seat and bracket?
That's some heavy shit we've got there.
What makes a seat weigh soo much?

Stock seats are filled to the brim with uncomfortable foam and imported anti-bolstering technology. The recaros in my last audi weighed about 85 lbs each so the protege is a lightweight. Its the lack of support that is killing me. Plus the concept of shaving another 50lbs from my car makes me smile.

Interesting fact for some of you guys out there on racing seats....
My torinos actually add somewhere near 20lbs. per side including the rails and brackets.
Beleive that one?!
