Yup, keep us updated. What kind of core are you going with? How much is it expected to cost with labor and everything (if you don't mind saying)?

Good luck!

sweet...I know what you mean. There so little space to work with...I dont really like the way many FMIC flow too. but I guess it saves money cuz they can do a "stage 1" pipes for side mont and "stage 2" upgrading it to FMIC. Im more of a traditional guy...with the pipes coming in from each side...although it might not matter (I dont know). I would be happy as long as I got a good lookin and useful FMIC. Thats why I was so excited to hear greddy doing a FMIC for the MSP...but got pushed back or canceled (I dont know).

Keep us updated and

sounds cool. make sure they make the cold charge pipe going from the IC to the throttle body is two pieces w/ a silicon connector in between to allow for engine flex.

i hear many people talking about getting a custom fmic, but what kind of local shops do that type of work? would a place that does muffler/exhaust work be able to fab it up for me, or is another type of business necessary?

Kill the turkey while you're at it. Have them weld on a flange for the stock BPV and recirculate it, then have them weld on a flange for an aftermarket BOV of your choice and run it open-vent.

Why aren't people going with a right side dual in/outlet designed FMIC. Look at all that extra piping to the left. that 4 times as long as the original design.

I am getting a custom IC made as we speak that has this and the piping will be short straight and direct. Why am i the only one that has thought to do this?

I will post pics after I get mine done, my shop is going to try and do the dual driver side inlet/outlet. But djtest, how much did you pay? It really looks like there is way to much pipe there. And that filter looks really tiny. But the front looks sweet:)

I spent alot, the fmic and custom work was fiine near 1,000 but I got a boost gauge and pillar mount. some other goodies too. The reason I didn't go with same inlet outlet side was because I personally don't like them. I can't picture in my heade how the air can flow thru that without a 90 degree turn. I chose this one because I like a traditional style along with the fact that it completley recircs without any stock parts. I don't mind the extra pipe there aren't any nesty bends in it and it is all huge ! the air filter was the one that would fit in where we discussed running the pipe. I don't think it is any less efficient than those long ones because it's circumference (sp) is nearly twice as large .I am also a custom kinda guy I like the prototypes that no one else has. just me tho, and if the car didn't run so damn good i might think about the other type of intercooler but for now I love this mod !!!!!!! up next fuel management and exhaust, and DP can anyone suggest where to go for a not too loud exhaust cat back for under 700 ? I will search soon but anyways happy easter. oh yea the turbosmart bov settings ? it is easy to adjust you just spin it but I don't know where it should be ? more towards hard or soft ?? I have messed a little but don't wanna mess anything up sso if you guys can point at me then laugh, then tell me i'll be happy (dunno) (band2) allright DEMON I hope I answered all your questions later
