Hey guys. Had something weird happen two days ago.

I was coming out of work and unlocked my car. When I opened the door, the tone for the lights being on was ringing. The headlights were off and so were the parking lights. However... the instrument cluster and the little alarm light were on. I tried cycling the headlight switch to see if that worked, but it didn't. There was enough juice to start, but as I was driving, the alarm light was still flickering.

When I got back home, the dash lights turned off and when I got back into the car the next morning, all was back to normal.

Anybody else have this happen to them? (uhm)

Sounds like you could have a 12v line crossed with something. In particular, some stray 12v line crossed with your interior lights. Check all the connections.

Will do. Don't know when the stuff got crossed. Still don't have my TT installed. Waiting for a 99+protege to eat it around here so I can steal the molex off of it.

I'm bringing it into the dealer anyways on Friday. Got a strange new turbo noise that I'm not sure what it is... and it needs an oil change too. Kind of sucks that my apartment complex doesn't allow us to do any auto work in the parking lot.
