While I fully understand that nobody gives a damn, I finally ordered my first mod... Apex 2.5" catless Downpipe
I'm so excited, and my girlfriend is sick of hearin about it, so I thought I'd bring it to some like-minded people =c)
Should be here by Monday... so what do you guys think I should do next? MBC? catback? =c)

yea definitely get the profec-b (spec II). Get the remote switch too if you have an extra 100 bucks. Its pretty fun for when your driving around at stock boost and you see someone you feel like smokin...simply push the button and your right up to max boost!

I'll let you know tomorrow... but I heard that there is a difference. I am also getting a custom 2.5" from the dp to the muffler (keeping the stock one).

To answer your question kokioki. Your exhaust is going to be louder (hence no cats). The tone is a higher pitch but it's bearable. You'll notice some hp gain. And sometimes you'll even notice an occansional backfire. Maybe someday I could have some of these toys.;) :p

Thanks Vegas
I was hopin for more of a deeper growl then a ricey zing... would a catback help that at all? I was thinkin bout gettin the carbon ti next and gettin a custom cat back setup or just all the way from the dp.
On a second note, does anyone's rear deck rattle like a motherfucker? Ever since I got the replacement when my sub went out, every bump I hit makes a horribly annoying rattle. Any way to stuff some foam in there or anything?

I'm very interested to see how this all works out. I'm also considering getting a downpipe this spring, but sticking with the rest of the stock exhaust.
Please update us once you have it installed.

Got my dp and custom 2.5" pipe to the muffler installed today. Sorry, no pics, or sound bites. Well, it definately spools up quicker, and I gain 1psi in boost (stock). Car feels like it runs better. As far as the sound... same deep growl tone, but a bit louder. Actually, it's a little louder than I expected, but then again, I'm conservative. This weekend, I'll be intstalling the plugs and mbc, wonder what it will feel like then. Gonna start at 9psi. Right now it's running 7psi stock.
Overall... $600 with dp and custom pipe. I guess it's a tad much, but oh well. I'm happy.
