Variable Intermittent Wipers?

You know guys and gals,

In the brochures, it says that our cars (s models) are suppose to have the variable delay wiper control. Well just like the Protege5 cars, they do not. Now the P5 owners have found a way to convert them with the MPV wiper stalk. Does anyone know a way for us to do it????????

You can have that damn NAV system, the TPMS and the HID.

I'd rather have all the other stuff the CAN model gets:
Auto wipers
Variable intermittant wipers
Auto lamps
Auto HVAC
Heated seats

Anything else I'm missing?

Well, I have heated seats in my M3. But that was aftermarket. the dealer sent the car somewhere here in Calgary.

Not really a dealer option in canada. Just something they will do if you ask.

My sticker says it has Fixed intermittent wipers front and rear on my 5 door.

Someone needs to see if the MPV/Tribute stalk will fit the 3. If you take of the steering coumn cover (usually just requires three screws removed from the underside of the column) on the Pro5/MPV/Tribute it's a box attached to the stalk that pulls out as one unit. I know there are pictures of it around. Just look to see if they're similar.

Since the stalks on the P5, Tribute and MPV are not the same as ours, I would rather find the model that does match,,,would that be the "6" or the "RX-8"? I have not looked at them yet, does anyone know if that may be the solution?

If you have the wagon, the answer would be "NO". They wouldn't have the control for the rear window wiper. It's possible the stalk from the 6 or RX-8 would work.
