Got my calipers painted with German G2 aircraft brake paint. This paint has a wet rubberized look. I used a regular sable brush.

Thanks. Those are Ferrari sidemarkers. I couldn't afford the rest of the Ferrari. Hehe.

I was looking to get the latest Audi A4 markers but they're quite expensive.

BTW, for the photo, I used a Sony Cybershot DSC-P31. I highly recommend it if you're not going to use it for Web stuff. It's around $179 at www.vanns.com. It automatically makes your photos look much much better. I tried many cameras.

A little far away but it looks good from what I can see. Lol, yes those sidemarkers are so cute! =)

I love MP3 bumpers....gotta have one...
Anyway, if anyone's interested, I got two close-up shots of the paintwork (links are on bottom).

FYI on how I painted them:
I didn't mask at all. I just used two sizes of sable brush. One wide for quick coverage and a sharp one for detail work.

I used the natural casting seams of the calipers as border guides. Some parts have dips and angles that make it difficult to mask, so I just went raw.

The texture of the paint is like liquid rubber. I waited 15 min instead of the recommended 5 min as specified in the instructions so the liquid is less runny to work with. I also painted only viewable areas through the rim.

If you want to see close-up photos, here are two:

That looks great, especially on silver!!! :)
Where did you get the paint, if you don't mind me asking... Also,
how much paint did you use for all 4?

Thanks. :

I got it at http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com. One of the cheapest deals around.

There's enough paint in the kit for 2 calipers and 2 drums and more than enough for 4 calipers. I had left over paint, so I painted my horn. :D

??Are you saying you didn't even take the wheels off when you were painting?

I took the wheels off of course. What I meant by painting areas that are visible is that I didn't paint parts of the calipers that are deep into the wheelwell.
