GA / AL Meet?

we should plan a meet for the GA/AL members...i figure a good spot would be West Point lake...tons of parking...it's on the GA/AL border...and it's only an hour south of ATL.

having it on a sunday would work best for me.

how does April 25th sound?

I'm trying to plan a Birmingham area meet as we speak. There are several tracks here to race/meet at so I thought it was a good idea, but everyone is hollering for me to get the Barbers motorsports park.

If we could have a GA/AL meet with a good turnout (30+) than the Barber's track may be possible. This would not be cheap however since the facilities are known as the best in the world, but it would give us a chance to race at least and visit the museum that's there. Also there are great locations for picture taking. One in particular is of the cars parked on the opening straight with someone shooting from the booth. Get kind of a LeMans pre-race photo feeling.

I'm up for a get together whenever, but as for an official meet at a nice facility I think we need some deffinate head couns and SERIOUS people/payers. I'll contact Barber's and get an idea of pricing. i'll post again shortly.

that's awesome...i'm just trying to set-up something in a central location (west point is dead center along the border of the two states) for us to just get together. that way, it'll be a better judge of how many people will actually come to the meet you're setting up and we can possibly nail down details then.

sounds cool to me. I'm always up for a drive....it looks like the barber's track is holding private events for the Prosche Club of America, BMW club of America, Panoz Racing club and other high end car circles....I'm not sure if the lowly mazda peeps will be able to afford the track prices. I'm waiting to hear back for official prices and dates.

theres a link for you guys if you're unfamiliar with the track and museum. This weekend isn't good for me either. We'd need several weeks to get the word out and get people going. nothing sucks worse than driving three hours each way to hang out with Tophers stupid ass all alone. = )

I'm wanting to get some sort of meet/race together. I want to see what these other protege guys can do on the track.

i've gotta put my header and wheels off for a month or two...thanks wifey! i do have jdm tails and the 03.5 msp lip coming...as long as my header, wheels, and spoiler are on before the ******** meet in NC on aug 7th, i'm happy.
