i want to "suicide" my rear doors, shave the handles and make them open from only inside...what all would be involved, other than rehindging the door? would i have to cut the fender to do it? is it even possible?

considering the shape of the rear side of the rear doors...this is going to be VERY difficult if possible at all. do to the shape...you would NOT have two locations above and below one another to put hinges. THAT is something required...and I don't think you would have much luck putting one BIG MONGO hinge at the top. Sorry dude....but I think you are out of luck on this one.

Derrick:
I put a thread early last week and not one person replied. I was trying to find out what it looks like on an mp3 to have the doors suicided and the handles shaved. I have 2 friends that are in the club called exclusive styles (exclusivestyles.com). there is a guy on there who name is sean and he told me that it could be done. He said that it would not be easy but, it possible. I think that I am going to save up. I think the going price is like 1000-1200 per door to get it suicided and 250 per door handle to get it shaved. So there is a little info for ya. Corey

Why would you want to spend $1000 or more on removing a functional door handle? I kind of like being able to open my door from the outside.

I'm sure it would probably look good, but thats a lot of money to remove a functioning part of the car.

I mean.... if you want to go ahead

It can be done. But getting the hinges made and re-enforcing the door frame to accept the new mount and relocating the latch mechanism would be costly. It would not be a traditional hinge. You would be looking at several thousand dollars just to change the way your doors open.
You can get just about anything done. The deciding factor is how much money you are willing to throw at the problem.

Shaved-handle doors can still be opened from the outside (how the hell else would you get in??:D)

You have a key fob like any remote entry system, but this one actuates the door latch, and a small spring pop s the door open just enough to grab the edge with a finger.

Shaved door handles are definitely schweet, IMO - but not something I'd do to my daily driver.
