It's the initialization of the flux capacitor.

yea, make sure the flux capacitor fluid is full btw..otherwise it might "grind" on startups.

The protege has a cold engine rattle on cold days. It's a TSB which has somethig to do with the VCTS or whatever that thing is called.

Normal. I have it too

My dealer said it had something to do with a "exhaust valve" used to warm the engine up. No harm to the motor though at all(2thumbs)

Yup... something about when the engine 1st starts up and they have it all flowin quick to warm her up. All protege's have this.

Might be the VCTS, might be a rod bearing....Does it sound like this?

If so, it's a rod bearing.

It's the cold engine rattle. Your dealer will fix it for free.

So is this something that i should be concerned about? And where is this flux capacitor reservoir? Should i drop her off by the dealership???
