And have been obsessing about it since, so I found these forums. Thanks everyone for opinions, I feel good about it.

I ordered a red 5 door sport GT with Air and Automatic. It's amazing, I basically test drove every single car in the price range except the Mazda. My father in law had a Protoge5 and I didn't like it. But someone said "Go try the new 3" so I went, and I decided to buy it half way thru the testdrive :)

Does anyone know the price of licensing and registration. I was looking at the price calculator for leasing on www.mazda.ca and it comes out to be a bit cheaper then what I agreed to pay. But the only thing not included in the price on the site is license and registration. Am I being had?

Basically the lease is a 36 month one, 0 down, and is costing me CDN $447 after everything.

I'm new to Canada, I don't have a credit history for financing, and I can't afford cash, Leasing was my best option.

Anyway I've never owned a car for more than 3 years. :)

leasing is a good thing...purchase appreciating assets...lease depreciating assets......to each his own...

leasing is excellent for someone who trades cars often. Like me :) every 2 years. I would never lease a car for the entire lease period though. Might as well buy it.

congrats on the purchase and welcome aboard. Your lease payment is a lot higher then mine though...granted I traded the mp3 for mine.

Thanks.

You say that you don't lease for the entire period, so what do you do? Take a 3 or 4 year lease and trade in after 2?

Does anyone know the cost of licensing the car? I'm still wonderng if I should demand to pay the MSRP or lower, since I will be paying slightliy higher, of if the licensing price is justified.

It's RED. Oh beutiful red. It goes gold and orange and red and sparkles and stuff. I kind of parked it outside in the sun today and walked around it for about 10 minutes.

Anyway I'm gonna be taking pics of it tonight, but it will be underground, I'll post the link when I get back.

God I love my new car
