Hey guys,
I just got done installing the Injen, and the car won't idle, the revs drop really low, the lights dim, and then the car stalls.
I have searched, and i read the post from Jernut where he said that the BPV got unglued from the intake, but mine looks ok.
My Injen was used, and the previous owner had cut off the 3/4 inch U-pipe and was running a hose to clear his hard pipes.
He didn't include the hose, so i'm running it open for now. Is that enough to cause the stalling?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

No, the factory BPV is a normally open valve, It will stay open until it starts to see pressure. With it open, your venting at idle, and not flooding the car. :D

running open vent (vent to atmosphere) will definately cause stalling... just like an open vent BOV.
I run open vent on my HKS... just a matter of re-learning how to drive to prevent the stalls (throttle blipping, not just throwing the car into neutral or holding in the clutch for extended periods, etc...)
my main concern about what you said is that you do not have the hose connected... do you mean there is nothing connected to the recirc bung on the intake pipe? be sure that is capped off... otherwise you are sucking in a lot of unfiltered & unmetered air...
the unmetered air will cause extremely lean A?F mixtured (as well as cause the stalling)
cap that off immediately!

Dood!
what ^ he said.
plug the hole, MAF is not seeing enough airflow.
better yet, go to pep boys and buy hose, no stalling at all.

Your all missing what Im saying. The stock BPV is OPEN, when at idle. The hole is really meaningless in the intake piping. Its the fact that the MAF is reading the air, but its venting out of the BPV at idle, thus causing the car to flood out.

I managed to attach the u-pipe that had been cut off with a short piece of hose. All better with the sytem now closed.
