I really dont like how the front of my car is higher than the rear. I hear that the eibach drop is more in the rear than front, but the tein drop looks pretty intense. Also I really dont want a very bumpy ride because I have to drive downtown sometimes and the streets really suck. Could I get some of you to post some pics of msp's lowered on eibachs and teins? Also, could you explain how the ride is compared to stock?
Thanks,
Neal

I have the eibach sportline springs. The ride with the eibachs is just about like a stock msp. Except it can be a little harsh when you hit some bumps, but nothing I have not been able to just ignore. Also those are 18's and I have no rubbing issues at all, if you have been thinking about getting 18's for your msp.

The tein drop is about equal to the eibach for the MSP. Try search, this has been covered recently with pictures too. If you want to see the eibach pro's you can check my sig (a few pages in is w/ springs).

Just spend the cash and get some ground control coil overs. Then you have control of how low you want to go and you can raise it for winter.

We make all our own stuff. All the autocross stuff is removable. The numbers and letters are cut from white sheet magnet and the otherstuff is usually just a vinyl sticker cut to size on magnet... except the white mazdaspeed logos for our contingency program. Those are on orange magnet to help match the car in photos.

budget doesnt matter. Those eibachs look nice though. I dont want ground controls, i had them on one of my previous cars and it rode like shit, even with tokiko illuminas. Although i did hear that illuminas ride like sht afterwards so it may have been the shocks. Think ill go with the eibachs though, thanks alot guys.

i'm saving up for suspension pieces. ground controls eh ? $400 + shipping right ? would i have to get an alignment after ? also, will there be any handling benefits ? if not GCs, what springs would increase handling and lower the car nicely ?

i have the eibach sportlines andi enjoy them
2 or 3% less stiff than the stock RBs, but lower center of gravity so its kind of a trade off

I just installed my H&R's last sat. They are really comfortable. They give a bit bigger drop on the front compared to Eibach, but they are almost the same.
I just have had good past with H&Rs.

I got mine used from an awsome user on this board for about $250 after shipping. We installed them ourselves (about a 4 hour job not rushing). Yes an alignment is very neccessary. Once you put your grubby hands on your struts and remove them your alignment is gone. We had one rear with some crazy amount of toe out according to the precheck at the alignment shop. So the drive to the alignment shop needs to be taken with care.
For anyone who says GCs ride bad... well of course they do they're linear racing springs. Form/function... all that.

I am distanttea's wife and it was a world of difference with the car after the coilovers and the alignment. It was money well spent. I thought it was mostly for looks but even I can really feel the difference. Very nice!
