Whats up all.....I have a 2003 Mazda6i and i just ordered 18" Rims with 225/40/18 tires. A friend of mine said that they are gonna rub!!! Does anybody know if this is true or not? feel free to send me an AIM(AOL) instant messge to screenname EastSideCDiddy thankyou! ----- the width is 8 inches and the offset is 40
it all depends on your offset

What's the width and offset of the wheels?

If you didn't bother to check the offset (Mazda uses some funky offsets - 60 for the 17" and 55 for the 16"!) it will definitey rub. Especially in the back, with people in the back seat.
In fact EVEN the stock 17 with a slightly wider tire (225/45-17) will rub a bit when driven at the "extreme".
Get the fenders rolled - safe-ish on a newly painted car, and not too expensive. Makes all the difference (unless you bought wheels with a truly terrible offset, like something in the 30s!)
