Had my ecu flashed and my a/f gauge is still off the charts rich even at wot @ 11psi... in addition to that I've also managed to hit fuel cut at 13psi(still rich mind you)! Looked around and see that my options seem to be either the FCD(which joe doesnt carry anymore) or the FPR. Is anyone else running this rich even after a flash or am i just "lucky"?

suggestion- don't rely on a narrowband please...

The flash does nothing for the A/F mixture, only advances the timing.

Well the FCD will just raise your fuel cut level so that won't help you with your over rich problem. The FPR will lean out your fuel but won't be enough. If you want a real solution to your problem get a standalone fuel management unit to build your own fuel maps. Also taken into consideration that the air fuel guages aren't accurate unless its a wideband.

eh a/f s will give you a general idea, and when the a/f is pegged all the way green its a good indication you're running rich, I'm going to confirm it this week with a dyno pull with the wideband 02...as far as a stand alone, i really see no point, being as that our ecus are eprommed...I can simply remove the eprom get the chip set # and burn a new eprom with fuel map adjustment...well when i say simply I first have to figure out the hex coding sequences...which isnt simple....the only thing I dont like about using the fpr, is that you cant only drop the pressure so much before you start having pulse problems with the injectors....tisk tisk the neverending battle never ends...

oh man you dont know what you are in for
Flyin Protege sent out their ECU to a company that specializes in hacking ecus, they got it back a year later with a note that said "no chance in hell"
if there was a way to be able to flash our own maps someone on here would have done it by now. I dont mean to rain on your parade but standalone is the ONLY way to tune this car, most piggy backs dont work, Apexi AVCR will not work, the ecu will literaly lear around whatever you toss at it and go back to running how it came from the factory.

You are welcome to try, I wish you luck in hackig that ECU
