I think it was in an import tuner mag i fliped through in the deli yesterday.

They had a writeup on the MSP. Well it so happens they went from stock "153whp" to "250whp" with simple addons. I dont recall exactly what but it included cai, boost controller, downpipe, turbo back and maybe something like sparkplugs? i cant recal. But they said with that they were pushin 250 to the wheels. When I read that I swear I said out loud in the deli WHAT THE FUCK? It didnt say how much boost was raised and i was really confused. If anyone has that article can you verify what it was. It might be helpful because they did a dyno test for each bolt on and i remember seeing a 8WHP increase for a CAI ?

Well not that much HP. They were putting down 210 at the wheel and about 208 ftlbs of torqe.. so thats about 230 ish to the at the fly.. Which is very nice.(rockon) Mods to the car where CAI, Turboback, Thicker IC but still in stock H and W, Flashed ECU from mazda, and 9.5 psi..


There next write up they are throwing on a FMIC, retuned aftermarket ECU and they are turning up the boost some more. Also i think they said they were going to put new rods and pistons in as well. So if they got 210 at the wheel before i can wait to see what they get with all of the other mods..

theres already a couple threads on this...its import racer magazine and its 210 whp and 208 lbs of torque. All it was was simple bolt ons...turbo back, SRI, upgraded SMIC, and boost controller at 9psi with reflash.

210whp is a great gain from just basic bolt ons. I cant wait to see the next article with the new ecu and engine build up
