I really can't stand that damn board, it's so trashy compare to vbulletin; yet, the admins seem to be careless about upgrading it. There are great people over there, but I just wish those people would come here or go migrate to another forum that has better forum setup. :/
Sorry for the vent.. it's just the board throws me off everytime I go there and read....

Also, let me know if there is any serious interest in a migration from ********** to here, thanks!

Sorry for the vent.. it's just the board throws me off everytime I go there and read....not to mention it's kinda boring over there. the primary admin doesn't own a 6, i believe he owns a protege, he's rarely on the board. it might be different if it were run by someone who actually owns a 6, or wanted one.
i'm over here too, just not that many posts about our 6.

thanks jimmy!!
BTW... sorry about the pics.. i guess i never uploaded them... were you referring to the black housing tailights? mine aren't that dark... only lightly tinted and so far no one has really noticed unless i'm next to another car with regular chrome... otherwise they still see the shine and think nothing of the tint...
oOoOoH did anyone check out the headlights on the 6 hatch and wagon?? they're black chrome!! i want a pair of those!

Welcome to the board Karena!
More people joining ********** despite it being "boring" among other problems...well that sounds like pclub back in the day...that board was growing like mad but never had much activity...I think it's because of search engine placement...potential members do a search than click on what comes up first...they are excited to see such a community and join quickly but realize after it's not all that great.
If you get enough Mazda6 owners to migrate here and become more active...I'm sure you will all enjoy this community :) If anyone is willing to carry out such a plan...I'm listening!
Cool! (thumb) Welcome Karena:)

Antoine, Thanks for the offer! I do enjoy my stay here already -- the people, the admin, the mod, the enourmouse amount of info I've learned, and last.. the nicely setup forum.
In addition, I've already thought about getting people either here or 6tech. Though, I would feel a shame if I make a post on 6club asking people to migrate to other board. For that reason, I'll leave it to the users to decide whether or not to migrate to other forum. I just WISH the great people over there can take a look at other types of forum setup, and compare it to the forum setup on 6club. Moreover, 6club forum is decently active, it's just the fact that the forum it's so bad that throws me off from reading it. Imagine you have to go thru each category to see new posts since your last visit, imagine you search through 60 pages of Member List, then you find out you can't PM the person but only see their profile, and the list goes on... :/

thanks antoine! i'm enjoying my stay here as well :)
hehe... jimmy how much you wanna bet you'd be threatened with being banned for even mentioning another mazda site over at the 6club? hahaha... they don't like competition... we still don't have stickers over there!! and it's been open over a year now! even their mazda3 sister site has stickers already.. what a shame... anywho.. i think most people find the ********** because it's one of the bigger sites specifically for the 6... a lot of the other boards are made up mostly of another car and have a 6 section... it can get a bit intimidating sometimes.. remember when i first went to MOCC? i feel intimidated there because everyone else has a protege... and i like to meet other people in these car groups but if the thread says protege only meet then i feel left out... you know what i mean... even though it's sad that i'm seeing the 6club take a nosedive in manners i feel more comfortable there because it's all mazda6.. so i don't have to be worried about being the oddball...
i think more and more people are starting to make the migration elsewhere though... a lot more people are complaining about more than just the forum setup... like me.. it's not the forum setup that bites.. it's the moderator attitudes... they're getting high and mighty and not actually doing their moderating duty... like i noticed some of them like to instigate a fight... and then behold their powers of locking!
BTW.. did you ever get in touch with thorsten (driver6)?

i found my tail pics... but it's pretty much useless because they were taken at night so it makes the tint look dark than during the daytime... maybe i'll see if my husband ever took day pics tonight and upload them..

A10,
Yep! I feel you~~~ :D That's why I wish those 6club readers can come here :D
Also, I love the look if it was THAT dark. But can't judge it until I see the day light pic~ :(

i've been here for a while, i just set up the meets. bout 90% of my posts are from setting up the meets. and yeah, it's intimidating being surrounded by so many protege owners, but i don't care as long as they don't make a big deal about it. and i've met some really cool people from this board (aka linuxracr)

If we get more 6 owners on this board, I think this site would really become a great site.
Again, I hardly visit 6club because the admin there keeps on refusing to upgrade forum and the 6club forum setup sucks compare to here. :P

I'm very excited to see the Mazda3 forum start to take off here...despite "competition"...The focus of this community is not based on a specific Mazda model but on overall quality!
If more of the Mazda6 people made the trek over here and starting posting more...contributing more...bringing in more Mazda6 enthusiasts and content...I know we would become a premier community for the Mazda6 crowd. I know that we could provide a better experience than what ********** can offer...no doubt!

Hmmm...if the admin/owner over there is so umotivated to properly maintain the site (sounds like pclub) maybe he would be interested in selling it...to us?
I been trying since febuary to join and no luck...emailed and everything...
Jliao

the admin/owner is VERY unmotivated. You post a forum feedback, it takes about a week to get response, and the response is not even from an admin/owner but a mod.

Well i begun to post over here because I am looking for a mazda fan base in Tucson and or phoenix. Not many "mazda" owners are on the ********** site so I don't care if i go to a 6 or a protege or miata meet. Some meet is good so looking for those over here.
Jliao

Ah! Good luck finding the meet on this board! I personally don't live around that area, so I don't know the activities around that area, but I'm sure if you find any Protege meets, you'll enjoy them!

Btw in case any 3 owners are reading this...since the 2.3 I4 is used in the Mazda 3s, many of the 6i articles directly apply to the Mazda 3s.
Thanks for the offer Antoine, we'll keep that in mind. :)
We need to put a link to msprotege.com on the site!
