I just wanted to ask you all if your MSP acts the same way as mine.
I've had two MSP's, the first one for 4800 miles and my current one that now has 3300 miles on it.
In both cars, when the engines warmed up the fan comes on occassionaly like it is supposed to. The keyword is "fan" in singular. If you are looking at the engine bay, only the fan to the right would come on. I never heard the fan on the left come on. This was consistent for both cars I've owned.
This Sunday I took out the MSP and when I pulled into the garage I heard a much louder sound. I popped the hood and both fans were on. They both go on for about 10-20 seconds then shut off. They turn on about every 50-60 seconds. It kept doing this until I shut it off.
I started the car again yesterday (the car was ice cold and had not been started in 4 days). As soon as it fired up the fans came on and continued with the same symptoms.
Is this normal? Doesn't seem right to me.
Should I reset my ECU to see if that helps? If so what is the exact process for that?
Thanks for any information!
Mark
