Earlier this evening I was driving to school when I directly ran over a tire on the freeway. I have some minor damage to the center of my 2003.5's front lip. The bigger problem however, is that I have been hearing a disturbing clinking noise coming from the rear of the car when I accelerate or come to a stop. It makes the sound on sort of a random basis, but I would say it occurs at least once a minute. At first I feared that my Racing Beat lower anti-roll bar in the rear was broken, but it looks to be undamaged. If anyone could give me some input as to what the problem could be, I would greatly appreciate it. I really can't afford an expensive repair right now, and I'd like to figure out what the problem is myself. I'm gonna be in school for the next couple hours, but I will be checking up on the board when i get home. Please help me.

The clinking noise was more subdued on the way home, though still slightly audible. I looked under the car when I got home. The resonator's heat shield was a little bent out of shape in one place. I also saw the bottom of the red Racing Beat anti-roll bar and there were some black scuff marks from the tire I ran over, but there was no visible damage other than that. Im trying to brainstorm as to what could have been messed up since the swaybar had to have been rocked fairly violently, which I assume could have messed up some other parts of the suspension. Does anyone have any ideas?

Ok dude, check your tires for anything that might be stuck to them. I ran over something the other night and heard the EXACT same thing as you and it turned out to be a screw nearly embedded in my back tire. Whenever I would accelerate the back end of the car would kinda torque down a little so it would hit my bar, and whenever my GF was in the car it sounded worse because there was weight (not very much babe!) on that side of the car. Get under there man!!
