Hey!

Another update, I have been replying to the e-mails letting people know I am thinking by mid to late April, we will have the bracket kits ready for purchase, along with the ordering page on the web site.

PING has recieved his kit and will post his comments and perspective any time now. We have the bracket design nailed down, and are working on bushing specs. What's great, is the bracket will accomadate the stock or the DELSING three piece bar.

BTW, doing better every day now after surgery! Thanks for all the "Get Well" wishes.

Godspeed!

hahaha, you are joking right? That bushing will fail just like all the others. The brackets need to be relocated, like the Delsing kit.

They may have a fix, but I don't trust it...Just like I didn't trust 156B, 156C, and 156D...
A true solution from someone who knows what they're doing, I trust, and I'll buy. (dance)

the deslin kit does more then simply fix the clunk...it relocates the mounts farther out for a more solid rotation of the sway bar.....instead of a rotation and twise from the stock narrowing mounting locations.....dave has posted about this fix for months and u decide to post a pointless post now????(braindead

Wow buddy, chill out... I have the E's too, but I think given enough time they will fail just like the others. Take it easy.

505zoom, my others lasted two weeks in the summer, when the bushings should be the best. i've had the 156Es on since october thru winter weather/expanding and contracting, and no problems at all. point is, why pay to fix something that isnt broken?

The Delsing brackets are not only to fix the clunk. Like Autobox said, it eliminates the twisting of the sway bar. Check out the original Racing Beat design for the mp3, they had the brackets in almost the same spot that the delsing kit does.

I'm gonna look into these brackets, because it not only fixes the klunk, but by the sounds of it, tightens it up a bit...the suspension stuff on that site looks tight as shit too. when I upgrade, it's def. gonna be thier stuff. I'd say get the brakcets, but if you don't see the need for the brackets, or are cheap, or don't have the money to spend, stick with the bushings....eventually when you get to Z, you might consider the brackets...lol...

Geez. Doesn't take much to get people riled up around here does it?

I've been waiting for more info on this project and glad the brackets/bushings are about ready. Put me down for a set. It's a superior design.

The techs at my dealership said it was the spoiler clunking not the suspension.....you guys are wasting all this money and it was the spoiler the whole time!!! HAHAAA

You don't have a fix, you have a patch. The problem is a poorly designed bracket, bar and bushing, it led to a bushing wearing out and clunking. Even if the bushing is silent, its still an inadiquit design.

oh did i mention mazdas fix is FREE:rolleyes: Not everyone around here is running on stock suspension still...If I brought my car into the dealership and tell them it needs a bushing upgrade, they'd laugh my ass out of there. They remember I had Skunks on it, and they noticed when I switched to Spool's springs.
As long as these Delsing bushings don't cost me an arm and a leg, I'll be getting a set.

o didnt you know?? paying for something makes it a modOh, and maybe I'll just add it to my "mods list" too since, technically it's a modification that is an improvement over the stock part it will replace. That is a good definition or a mod, isn't it?

Dave is THE MAN when it comes to MSP suspension. I'll post a new thread on this sometime tomorrow w/ more details but here are a few quick initial comments on currently-very-limited "real world" testing (just put the kit on the car Saturday):

1) Straightforward installation, simple hand tools and jackstands, not really much harder than oil change and a lot less messy.
2) Easily adaptable to many swaybar designs and diameters (including, o course, the stock one!). Easy to return to stock configuration.
3) Oh - IT WORKS. Big time. And it ALSO fixes the clunk.

Let's don't call it only a clunk fix - while the clunk is indeed fixed, the real change is making the rear bar WORK. Noticably better than stock, and this is with the stock MSP bar. Dave's also got some plans for a new rear bar, so stay tuned...

I have more testing to do, and the design/finish work isn't quitecomplete (Dave's got a few things in mind, as do I), but I think he's looking at mid-April for a release date - not that far off. In the meantime I'll also be working on some details and will be providing a play-by-play on driving impressions and a limited check on longevity and drive-ability in gritty salty gunk, using my custom-calibrated butt-o-meter, digicam, and driver/passenger impressions.

If anyone has some tests or results they'd like to see, or questions they want answered, post 'em and we'll try to get an answer or test to get at one. If you have other sites or friends you want to refer, let us know. Bear in mind, Dave's doing (done) a lot of the race and autoX testing; I'm handling the
"real world", potholes-and-salty grit, snow-tires-and-commuting, four-friends-and-I-go-to-lunch impressions. I'm in New Jersey and running a stock MSP currently on (good) 16" snows - if you're near me I'd be happy to meet so you can see the install, I'm near exit 25 off 80. I'll be posting pictures, a quickie installation guide, tips, etc, and getting the 17's on pretty soon so we have impressions on both sets o' tires.

Godspeed, and stay Tuned! :D :D :D

Peace,
-LDixon
