go to menu and u can set the time.. after that u can select diff displays.. ie.. date + time or kenwood marquee etc.. just select the date and time..

You have to set up the display for CD mode and Radio tuner mode independently.

Here, straight from the Kenwood manual (sheesh its cold outside, just went out and got it for you!):
First, setting the time
1) Enter Menu mode
Press the MENU button for at least 1 second.
2)Select the menu item
Press the FM or AM button, select Clock Adjust
3)Set the menu item
Press the << or >> button for at least 1 second
The clock display should blink
4)Adjust the Hours
Press the FM or AM button.
5)Adjust the Minutes
Press the << or >> button.
Exit clock adjustment mode
Press the MENU button.

3)Enter the display control mode
Press the << or >> button for at least 1 second.
4)Switch the upper display with the FM or AM button.
