well i know theres no definite answers to recon but post any info that you may have! also any hints!

im going in for my drop which is skunk2 coilovers and this info is what i got so far from you guys! (thanks for the tips)


my tint is coming of this sat.
tail lights coming off stocks going in
bulbs coming out stocks going in
grilles coming out stocks going in
fog lights coimng out
license plate moved up to bottom holes
alignment will be done 30 days prior to inspection

also what is the affidavit needed for? and i can get one from a shop right? i know someone at HI-PACE so maybe he can help me out!

and thats what i got so far! any other ideas?

just to let you know what I heard, that the penalty for illegal parts on a car after getting recon is more severe than if you got caught with no recon at all... I guess they think that since you have it that you should know better, I dont know. so I say fuck it!!! -mike

Chris should be able to help you with getting the affidavit of allignment. Basically it's a piece of paper saying that a shop installed the Skunks and that they were then alligned. However, there are places that will get you an affidavit even if you installed the parts yourself. That's where Chris comes in.

mike........yeah but i figure cops wouldnt know much about the other stuff to even bother me about it! cause i just getting recon for my drop! everything else i leaving legal! just the autoexe grill going back in and the JDM tails! the tint im leaving off already and just use the amber bulbs for my blinkers! tired of panic cop attack! *LOL* still think theyll get me after my recon badge? just the grill and the tail lights are diff. after inpsection!

I think you should be good to go, it was just my opinion for my situation cause I plan on leaving my 12% tint along with all of my hyperwhite/blue bulbs etc. but good luck with the recon :D -mike

mike.....dude you dont even know!! i gotta con myself to leave it that way! haha! even tho havent *knock on wood* got pulled in awhile for my tint i think its better off then when i do get caught its money wasted! at least thats what i tell myself everyday! but when i get in my car im like "nah ill just leave it" but i dunno? haha!

Don't forget you need to have play in your suspension....they will push down on the hood to see if you have the appropriate travel....I think 1 inch? or was it 2 inches Chris?

If you suspension is too tight and the car doesn't bounce enough your screwed....
Also take off any sticker you have on the windows....and even some stock stuff they will question you on so make sure you can back it up if something is stock....
oh if you have an intake make sure its bolted donw securely they will pull on it....

I've recon passed 2 of my previous cars but my current P5 seems to be the hardest so I just said screw it and am going without recon.....

Funny since I passed with both my previous Integra and Audi A4 and they had ALOT more parts on them....including my Audi with had 18" wheels when stock was only 15"

Suspention play is 1 inch down and 1 inch back up.
