I don't know what it is, but mine is pointing with the curved sides at top and bottom, and the flat sides left and right. The diamond star is pointing with one side directly left, one pointing up and to the right, and the other down and to the right. Basically west, northeast and south east. Hope that helps...

uhhhh, if it's the half-year version, it has to point to 1955.5...

those look like vacuum lines running to it..... to me I would think its an electrically activated solinoid that supplies vacuum to somthing when its turned on... but thats a guess. see where the vacuum lines run.

I'd kinda like to know wut the fuck it is, but so far, the best guess we have is a flux capacitor, and those belong on Ford Explorers(if you saw the thread, you'd understand), so yeah, if you find out what it is, post it,

i wish i knew, i just looked it up in the manual. its the pressure control valve, and has something to do with the fuel pressure regulator. but the manual doesnt say what setting it should be at, i dont think. its in section 1-13b if you want to look it up. im about 99.99 percent sure by the picture that that is what it is.

Ummm, I looked at that thing today and it is not an adjustment knob. It just comes right off, there is another vaccum line nipple there, the thing you are talking about is just a cover.

yeah. you do.
but you are all wrong. it is a flux capacitor that runs on garbage. however, at that setting, the machine will never fly again.

You gotta chill guy... If you didn't read the Explorer thread I guess it wouldn't be funny to you, but what makes this board fun (and the other board we both know as well) is that people joke around and don't take things too seriously. I saw another post that had 9 views where you were asking a question, and your next post was something like "what the hell, 9 views and nobody knows?"... Take a deep breath and count to 10... We're all here to learn and enjoy ourselves doing it...
And since the question has been answered I won't poke fun at you either... I'll wait 'til I meet you in person ;)
Cheers
