it took all of 8 days into the 8th nite for me to get my first speeding ticket with my MSP.
It was 1:30 am and i was on a backroad heading back home. i drive this road every day and know it like the back of my hand, know where the po like to sit and everything. but being tired and all, i was in a daze where i wasn't thinking but muscle memory kinda takes over. I sure you all know what i'm talking about. well not being used to the turbo still, i was apparently crusing 56 on a posted 40. i ended up getting pulled over 2 blocks from my house in my neighborhood, by the same cop i always flash my highbeams to warn others of his presence. how ironic.
well lucky for me, he only gave me a "obedience to traffic control devices" which saves me 40 bucks on my ticket and saves me 4 points from going on my license.
105 dollars for my ticket, theres goes my turbotimer. (sad1)

Hey, at least you got the ticket first. I got a ticket on my way home from getting my TT and alarm installed. $350 for theTT/Alarm, and the ticket was almost $200 for 76mph in a 55 zone.

my suggestion, get a scanner before a TT, I wouldn't spend money on a TT, when I can just sit in my car, and finish listening to my song for free, I rather be safe from the poe

Almost 3 months since I got the Msp..no tickets yet, heh boost is addicting. Once close call though, but luckily this car can make some quick turns(yippy) . I swear the spolier gets the cops on my ass like no other, but they never catch me doing anything wrong.

Well I didnt get em as soon but I got 2 in the same month LOL... its so hard without cruise control. Well 3 tickets is a bye bye for your license so I had a stater pass me a month ago when I came up over a hill speeding as usual and he flipped his lights...I new he couldnt turn around without pulling in and doing it so I just downshifted and went for it. It was at night so I got a good 3/4 mile jump on him and went over a hill flipped off my lights and pulled into a hidden drive. He went zoomin by......
Lets just say, I dont speed anymore.. no jail for me thanks lol
So everyone. Obey the Speed Limit (strike)

So everyone. Obey the Speed Limit (strike)Yes, its a much for enjoyable ride when you don't always have to look out for cops. I had my close call, now I try very hard not to speed.

^ hahahaha that's great. I've done a similar thing a couple times. One night I'm coming home and right before I make the turn into my neighborhood, I pass the cop. I was slowing down, but I was going about 65 in a 45 before I got to the turn. This was at like 12:30 at night so he had to have seen me speeding. I tuned into my neighborhood and made a quick decision. I know there is these people that always keep there garage open and don't have a car in one space. As fast as I could, I flew into their driveway, flipped my lights off, turned the car off and drifted into the garage. Sure enough about 8 seconds later, the cop comes crusing by slow looking for my car. I didn't think he would consider a garage for me to hide in since I would still be in the driveway waiting for my garage door to go up. Sure enough I escaped a certain ticket. God was looking out for me that night!

In high school one of my friends was going about 65-70 in a 45 zone, it was about 11 at night. The cop was coming the other way, and flipped his lights on. My friend pulled in the next street (which happened to be a dead end) pulled in somebody's drive way, shut off his lights, shut the car off and ducked down. About 10 seconds later the cop pulls down the street and didn't see him, so the cop went to the end of the street (the only way out was now blocked). well my friend lived not to far away and there was an empty lot on the street that had a dirt road (very small dirt road, more like a big walking path) that connected the dead end street to another close to his house. Well he got his little dodge neon down the little dirt path and home.

I came off the highway near my house one night....a quick right hand turn, doing about 40. I never went any faster down the road. Pulled into the driveway only to see headlights coming up right behind me. It was a cop, and he was pissed! He said I was hauling ass past a daycare his kid attends. I pointed out that it was 11 o'clock at night, and that pissed him off even more. I denied speeding down that road, saying I may have taken the corner a bit fast, but that was it. Then he says HE didn't actually see me, but his partner did standing outside the 7-11. So he couldn't give me a ticket. But he checked my inspection sticker, scratching his fingernail over the glass like I had altered it or something! He then walks back to another cop who had pulled up to run my license, and eyes my tint. To his utter disgust, it was legal and had the required decals. The look on his face was priceless. The only thing that worried me was that I had an unopened bottle of whiskey on the front seat. Luckily, he didn't see it. (no, I hadn't been drinking and driving!) But I live in a small town, and now I know he'll be gunning for me. Gotta be careful!
