Important Question: With spacers would 245/45/17s fit the MSP?

If things line up for us here we're going to make a charge into STX with the MSP. But I really would like to run 245/45/17 Falken Sports on some 17x7.5 or 17x8 lightweight wheels. With fender rolling and spacers would the bitches fit? Anybody do this yet to see?

^^ beat me to it. Check Dave's site, great guy and good racer. IIRC the tire size isn't the limiting factor until you've explored a few other suspension mods, including rotating the front struts for better camber and stiffing up the rear bar a bit. Again, check his site. I think 245's would be a little extreme anyway, 225 or 235 would look better but I have no idea on function...

Correction.. we are looking into 245/40/17... not 245/45/17. The are shorter than 224/45s.

I'd say you would have a very tough time running 245/40s without some major fender rolling. Even 235 is probably pushing it to the limit with a 40 sidewall. No way to know for certain though until you try it.:) If you get it working, let us know.

i think you could strech a 235 in there but a 245 would be just too wide...make some custome fender flares and then they'll fit. <ponders the idea>
