I was thinking of doing the same thing and was advised against it. I was told they don't fit properly. The P5 springs by Racing Beat are the same ones but made for the 5. There are a few threads around here about this subject.

you didnt look hard enough. there have been 3 threads THIS WEEK about this same subject. You're posting/looking in the wrong section....try "RIMS/TIRES/SUSPENSION".

That is a bunch of crap. I talked to Racing Beat myself, and they said that the MP3 and MSP springs would do just fine. Somebody just had a bad install. Be carful and don't break stuff while putting them on.

BTW. The part number for the P5, and other Proteges is the same from Racing Beat for their springs.

I have MSP springs installed on my P5. The front barely lowered, and the rear is too low. It would be nice if the front were 1/2 inch lower or the rear 1/2 inch higher. The ride is OK, but it doesnt feel "right" almost like to have too much weight in the back.

Has been over 6 weeks since the install and the springs fit perfect, no mods, nothing broken. So all the other horror stories about fitment and broken parts are probably just a bad install.

mine look/work great. This thing turns on a dime and has a very smooth ride to it.
