I don't know whats going on. Okay here's the problem that I'm having, I installed HIDs just recently but I've been having this problem for some time now. The driver side keeps going out?? I had stock bulbs before I got my HID kit and the bulb went out, so I thought. I ordered my HID kit and when I pulled the bulb it wasn't the bulb?? It actually went on?? The wiring harness was changed (spliced) @ the dealer because of this on going issue. It fried the black part that goes behind the bulb. Now what happens with the HIDs is that the driver's side will flicker and then just not turn on but the passenger side will turn on w/out any problems??
I'm assuming I have to get a new wiring harness installed or where the dealer spliced the wiring is just completely messed up.
Any pointers, help, advice, whatever would be appreciated.

Man same problem here other than HID. I just had to order the black piece or socket as it had a meltdown. Not sure what to tell you. No problems on passenger side though.

Did you go through the dealer? What did they say? Mine tried to say that I put some higher watt bulbs in when I had stock. Plus they shouldn't say anything about my HID kit because it uses 35 watts, not 55 (normal)....

Did you try wiggling the plug? does the light come on when you do? I had to fix the white plug part on mine.

I wiggled it, but it still doesn't turn on.

It's either the ballan or the wiring. I'm assuming its the wiring because I had the stock bulb in there before and it was out, I thought it was the bulb but it wasn't.

No dice from the dealer. I had to go to Alabama to get the part-no hassles on that end. The white connector is part of the wiring harness, so hopefully that is not messed up.

Well the dealer cut my harness off and gave me two connectors to plug into the back of the bulb, how ghetto. I'm going to call the dealer tomorrow and see what can be done, I'm assuming that I will have to get a new wiring harness but the problem is just the driver's side. I'm going to see how much the dealer will charge then decide what I'm going to do from there on. I go for inspection in June/July so I have to have it fixed by then to pass.

One food for thought is which way should the wiring harness be plugged in? They can go either way but they are coded differently on the wiring with a stripe on one and not the other. Maybe we are putting them on wrong?
