Hey all, I posted something like that in MSP forum, but also want to ask you few questions. I just bought an MSP strut bar from ebay. Thing is brand new, but guy didnt tell me that I need brackets in order to install it. I also have cruise control on my LX. Is the cruise control bracket something that I can get from dealership or is it aftermarket?

who the hell sold you a bar and no brackets?

brackets are available at your mazda dealer, just get the one thats 'for cruise control'.

2 brackets and 4 nuts is all you need.

Your dealer may not have the brackets. You may be able to get them cheaper and quicker from www.mazdastuff.com (http://www.mazdastuff.com). E-mail them for a price quote.

mazdastuff is a mazda dealer...ive alrady called them on this matter since i overtourqed a bolt and ruined my bracket, and the shipping was $8.00 and the price break (though minimal in this case) was not worth the offsetting shipping charge compared to the regular price.

one of the brackets for me was like $15.00, id figure the other one is cheaper, it should run you maybe $25.00 $30.00 tops

Ok, I emailed mazdastuff.com regarding the brackets, no message from them yet. Also I called 2 mazda dealers around me and they tell me those brackets dont sell separately from the strut brace. Assholes tell me that strut brace kit is 133 bucks. Im going to call mazda south now.

they are nothing special, just another dealer.

why not go down to your LOCAL dealer, order it there, and have them ship it FREE. i dont understand why he should pay shipping on top of waiting a week or more for the part to come in. my dealers policy is if you pay 10% of freight it can be overnighted. (which came out to like $.80 for me)

youre acting like he can get a better deal there and get it quicker when in reality he cant.

BUMMER! I already ordered what I needed from Richard (mazdastuff.com) I needed 6 parts including relocation brackets for the cruise actuator. Well everything came out to fucking 50 bucks with change. I just want to get over it, plus my 2 local dealerships told me that whatever parts Im looking for they wont sell them separately without the strutbar. I said FUCK YOU local dealerships. So bummer

my dealer sold me the individual bracket and it came out to like 15.00.

meh, oh well, Richard is such a nice guy, hes so helpful, i bet you guys found the parts needed within a few minutes and not half an hour.

well at least feel good if you got the strut 'bar' for cheap :(

yea concidering that i got the strut bar for 48 bucks shipped, I still concider it cheap due to whole package costs 133 bucks from dealer. Well yea Richard sent me a pdf file with all the part numbers and installation/relocation instructions so I called him right back with needed part numbers. Yea one bracket is 15 another one is 7. Then the cruise control bracket was like 3 bucks and then other 3 things that I needed too. So everything came out pretty good. I still say ASSHOLES LOCAL DEALERS
