welcome!
hmm on a budget lets see
injen cold air intake and catback exhaust should run you about $500 tops, should be a nice little addon.
spend the rest on customizing your looks!
picked a nice car - enjoy it

(confused) you just gave him a whole bunch of mods that give top end power. for low end you would need pulleys and a flywheel (if you have a standard tranny).

those mods will cost alot in labor and the guy is on a budget. i think on a budget of lets say $1000 i think that that he would be happier with a cai and exhaust.
plus we dont know if he (or she) even has a 1.6L or a 2.0.

im not arguing the cost or the mods, but youre giving him mods that ARE FOR TOP END (EX - HIGH RPMS)!!! read what he asked for - LOW END.

im not going to argue with you either. but using that same logic i can say go out and get a turbo for some good tourque. as a matter of fact the turbo should give more low end than any other mod.
so my suggestion for your first mod and on a budget is a full turbo kit with standalone engine mangement.

listen, there is no need to be sarcastic either, just because he is on a budget doesnt mean give him/her misinformation is all im saying. sometimes the truth hurts and if he/she wants low end, telling him/her they need to save a couple hundred more rather than waste money of top end stuff might just be the right thing to do.
dont get me wrong, i understand where youre coming from.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the purchase. These cars rock and you're going to have a lot of fun. You could always do some mods on your tires, but if you're looking for performance first, I have heard the Cold Air Intake and the exhaust make a good beginning.
