A quick questoin in relation to the rotor rust....even though the TSB says 2001-02 Protege, does this exclude our MSP'S in specific 2003/2003.5? Because this rust stuff is starting to piss me off....

when I went to my dealer to get it done they said it wouldn't be covered under warranty and I would have to pay to have it done.

dude, FOR SURE they have to paint rotors up to 12k miles.......after that it depends on if the dealership is cool.

Well I don't really want to argue with them cause they've been real cool about everything so far. Lol they told ME about the flash when it came out and asked if I had felt any hesitation and wanted it done. They said the same thing to me cosmetics, and they really don't have to do anything if they don't want to. It's just the fear that we might bring them to court that makes them do it :)

MSP#735 If they wont do it in Charlotte, you can go down to Team Mazda in Rock Hill, they are certified mazdaspeed dealer, and have fixed all that stuff for me, with no prob.

i'd like to take a look at that. I'm just going to do it myself this weekend probably. Might wait for it to get a little warmer though. My dealer wont do it under warranty and I don't feel like messing with the hassle.
Thanks bud

Man I say that the more people that demand this kind of defect repair service the better. The Mazda dealerships aren't going to break unless every speed owner goes in and demands to get the problems like this fixed. Mazda has a responsability to all of us to make sure that the car is not chok full O' defects like it is. Without all of these problems, we have the kick ass car we all set out to buy in the first place. I never read anything in the brocure like "State of the Art Rear Clunk System" or "New Urban Style Sagging Bumper Skirt". I did however, make sure the car had high-tech rust-attractant rotors...I heard they rule.

*demanding* service gets you nowhere. Be cool with your dealership and they will be A LOT cooler to you. Be an ass and you'll get treated like that.
