I know this is my first thread and all but just had a quik question about the MAF sensor. Has anyone broke out the plastic mesh inside the sensor? I did that and it seemed to make a noticeable difference. It was probably stupid to do that but I have other things to void my warranty so Im not to worried. I just wanted to know if that is a big no no or if it actually helps.

ya it probably was stupid but it was not that hard. As long as you dont hit the sensor your fine. I was worried I would break it but it is only glued in there and pops out farely easy with plenty of room between the sensor and the mesh. Plus why wouldn't it help it opens up the intake instead of having the air go thru a bunch of little holes.

Hey, it IS kinda hard for air to go through a bunch of small holes. Think of all the surface area it's dragging across. I popped mine out, and I know a lot of other people did as well. You can put it right back in as long as you were careful not to break it. With all the talk about short ram intakes being so good because they have less surface to drag the air across, I figured you all would be more receptive to this mod. It's just put in there to keep idiots from dropping screws into the turbo when changing the air filter. Pop her out! :D
