To those who have experienced this rear seatbelt rattle, please post with more information about it.. Like what it was, when it rattled, what the dealership said, etc. It's apparently an issue that I haven't been aware of until now so I need some more info for the problem sticky..
Thanks.

Are you referring to a rattle when you go over a bump coming from the rear? If so, maybe its a different rattle, cuz I thought it had something to do w/ the sub enclosure, or the rear deck itself.. but maybe i'm wrong?

No, two members have posted that they've had their seatbelt fixtures replaced due to a rattle... I'm a bit curious about this one..

I would think that soam one sided sticky foam under the rear panel should cure the problem but Im not certain........I bought some tonight and am going to see if it works........I'll keep ya posted

Thanks Speeder but I'm aware of that fix. I'm more concerned with the members who have had their seatbelts replaced. They've disappeared now, though.

I think mine will have to be replaced when I get time to go to the dealer, its either that or my rear subdeck rattling. Even at a modest volume of 15 something is rattling back there and pissing me off.

Good, tell us how it goes. I think I've had a seatbelt rattle for a while now. But I think I have just kinda tuned it out of late. Not really motivated enough to take car in.

I have it too - even with the radio completely off. I'm waiting for a coolant hose to come in for "the leak" -- once it's in I'll probably mention the rattle to my dealer. I'll let you know what they say...although I already can foresee the writing "could not reproduce customer's complaint."

my dealership roxored.. they got on hands and knees in the back until the manager found the source of the rattle, which appeared to be the seatbelt. (FAIRFAX BROWNS, va)

OHH me me.. the seatbelt rattle.
Ok most MSP owners probably don't notice this, but it's definately a lot more noticeable after you get new subwoofers. Basically when the sub hits, the back dash makes a vibration/rattle noise... which sounds very similar to the liscense plate rattle from the bass. I know it's not the liscense plate because I dynmatted my liscense plate already :)
Anyways, the sound shop I went to dynamatted my entire back dash, but it still rattles because of the center seat belt. I'm not exactly sure why it does it, but the only way to stop the rattle is to remove the seat belt... or get it replaced by one that doesn't rattle....... and I don't think Mazda has done anything about this yet.
