and does it stall the car?

Uhh
have a professional install it.
the snap ring is a PAIN.
plus, for it to be correctly installed, it needs connected to a metal flange which is welded on to metal, alum or steel, pipes.

It causes minor stalling issues. I stall once or twice a week tops.

how do you get it to not stall? Im thinking about getting one to but I dont wanna be stalling

If you install your BOV and leave the stock BPV in place, then you will not stall. I hate to say this, but do a search for BOV and stall and you will get this:
