View Full Version : Avatars on the left
I've moved the avatars and user info back to the left of the post. I think we will all agree this is a Good Thing (tm).
Please reply to this post with any other suggestions you may have.
UPDATE -- I am reindexing the search index. This will take about 6 hours. Until then, search results will not be as "good" as they should be.
UPDATE2 -- Search reindexing (theoretically) should be done. Search will work properly again.

Go back to the purple. It's more of an interesting color than just blue.... too conservative... hell IBM uses blue. Sun uses purple.
Less white like before too. The white it tiring on the eyes.
It will take some hacking to get those latest threads on the forum index. And I hate sun. And IBM. Maybe we can take a different shade of blue? I'm open to suggestions.

the avatar boxes (i donno, the area w/ the name and info) seems to be different sizes for all ppl and so it makes things all out of skew, kinda annoying, also, the search still doesn't work!!! (uhm)

Click on the reply button on the bottom right of a post window.
The mouse over of that button says "Reply with quote"

can you put the latest threads on the forum index? I like it on the homepage too, is it possible to put it on both levels of the site?

Things are looking good, any word on the email functionality? I am still not getting email updates from any of my threads.
Yeah, neither am I... I think the mail setup is SNAFU, I'll look into it.
OK, I changed something. Make sure your profile is setup to receive email notifications, and let me know if it works now.

Ah ok. What i meant by manually is copy and pasting the name. Before there was a button that said PM. I didn't realize we got a menu when clicking on a name now. All this new stuff to learn :D!

You know something else I noticed, when you go to your CP and list subscriptions, there is a column titled "notification" with a check box next to each subscribed thread labled "instant". I'm assuming this has to do with e-mail, but when you put a check in the box, and then leave the page, the check box is unchecked the next time you pull up the list. Follow me? Is that something that needs to be checked for e-mail notification?

yeah it hasn't been letting me know of subscribed thread updates

I just got flooded with all of these e-mail notifications to my threads, but they were old. Perhaps the is an issue with the outgoing mail service for the sight?
