At least save us some trouble and specify mods, miles, damage (if any), and maybe asking price. Also, there's a "for sale" section for this sort of thing.

you have TWO mp3's? WHY? WTF? WHen did you get them both?
Oh, BTW...most people on this board got their mp3 for less than $19K NEW, so $20K USED, is a tad high...esp with 26K miles on them. They'll have to buy new tires right off the bad. You'd be lucky to get $14K for it, honestly.

one in early may and the other in nov. It has newer tires that are lower profile on more expensive than the 2p9000 that came on it.

Good luck getting $20k with that mileage. Try $14-$15k... Unless of course thats Canadian.

Whoa, Nellie! We are a "shoot-from-the-hip" group here, dragonbabe. It's my guess that no demeaning rudeness was meant. Hang in there, listen, and we just could help you.
The truth is that when you spot a price as high as you have, you make people who want to buy the car for, say, $15K, think that you won't go down that far. If you say, "In my dreams I'd love to sell my baby for $20K, but I'm very interested in selling her, so let's negotiate!", then more people stay interested. The simple existence of "OBO" does little to warm a person to making deals with you. Of course, so does SHOUTING and pitching angry epithets...

lol.....you guys are too hard on each other. Hell If i was selling my car, I have 23,000 miles on it, I would start it out at $21,000 to have some room to play with on the price. Also guys just remember we know what the car sold for, but people know that this is a rare car to find, so you could have someone willing to pay more just to get it. Kinda like a Honda TRX250R. (4-Wheeler) ....You see some go for 7,000 and they are 12 yrs old....
Dragonbabe79 good luck!
And Ill take a couple hits myself...

Great! By the way, welcome, dragonbabe! Having TWO MP3's puts you in esteemed "multiple-Mazda" company (Diane and Nuke come to mind). Possessing two MP3's may restrict you economically, but it sure makes most of us drool.
Best of luck selling the car and keep posting! You'll still have the other one, after all! :D

Well, considering you're on an mp3 board, WE know what the car is worth, so asking US for $20K vs asking a random person $20K is two totally diff things. Drop your price to $15K OBO if you're looking to sell it on here. If not, sell it elsewhere.

I think she is pretty arrogant for asking so much on a board of educated owners and she is rude for trying to take advantage of people who may not know a lot about the car.

First off, Im not arrogant Im just pissed off, Im sorry that everyone else on the board is so perfect that they dont make common mistakes like this. I realize now that I shouldnt have posted here cause you all know about the car. I dont expect anyone here to pay over the worth of the car because of that. I am just grasping at straws here and trying to get rid of this car. Yes I will take close to 15 for the car but I dont want to go lower than that. I just figured that a group of people with a common interest would try to HELP another person out. I was sadly mistaken.
And as far as the name calling, I think that before you go and call people names, you need to first understand the situation and try to get to know them, otherwise you end up looking like an ass for doing so.
Sometimes you need to keep your opinions, esp. the harsh ones, to yourself.

no need to be an ass
You decided to start off on this board with name calling. You decided to try to sell your over-priced offer on this board with educated Protege owners. Take some responsibility for your actions. In hind-sight, I should have been a little less grouchy with a new member.
Really, I wish you luck in getting out of your situation.

In my mind some people are being childish and thats fine, i know some people are like in there late 20's and still want to be 11 so be it. Standing outside of this fire it seems to me like that Dragonbabe79 was just letting the Community know that they are getting rid of the car. I also really dont see a problem with them selling there car for $20,000 because its there car, and it gives a big cushion. Some people are rude on this site and you cant help it, i have been rude before so lets just stop being childish and just drop it.
Again, good luck on selling a great car, MAZDA MP3

Totally disagree with you (except for the part that the MP3 is a great car), TightMP3, but that's the beauty of this message board and the Internet. To each their own.

Uhh...well CUSHION is one thing. But when you're asking $6K over what it's worth (which translates into almost 150% of it's value) that's just absurd. It would be wiser to go with a lower cushion as to not discourage as many people.
For example, let's say I'm selling milk, but I say that the price is negotiable. You ask my price and I tell you that a gallon of milk is $5 (even though I'd settle for $3). You'd probably tell me to go screw myself and look elsewhere for milk. It would automatically discourage you. However, if I asked $4 and told you it was negotiable, you'd be more likely to try to talk me down to $3 instead of walking away.
So basically what I'm saying is YES, you could build some "cushion" into your price, but make it reasonable, not absurd. With your logic she may as well be asking $56K for the car...just so she has some "cushion".
