just looking back at some stuff....in only 6 months i have:

done all those mods in my sig,

racked up around 10000 miles,

replaced my stock battery and alternator,

rear ended by a lady in a big truck

burnt up my clutch almost to where it needs to be replaced

lost around .35 sec at the drag strip compared to stock

and are out of over $2000 on mods alone lol

how long have you guys had your cars?

i've had mine for about 6 months too:p

are we listing whats happened in that time??

ill assume so...

got a injen cai, p5 strut bar, daveB rings and magnecor wires all installed

coming in the mail hopefully next week: pioneer HU, and a pretty red oil cap from gujustud

need to be installed: header, phenolic thermal spacers and should be getting new exhaust...

no tickets, no accidents...and 'cept for a scrape under my front bumper :( and a tine scratch on my wheel, my car is just as beautiful as it was from day one...

has like 7070miles

hmm....and i am getting some springs sometime, and some new wheels...and maybe some side skirts...

i'm just hopin like hell i can take my car to college or else i have to put my car back to stock cause umm, my parents dont know i have it modded 'cept for the rings and the strut bar...

2,000$ and thats it? hmm. You should of just stayed stock..and used that for boost. I've had the DX since may..28,000 miles. Thus far i've done: AEM SRi (manual version), kartboy short shifter, kartboy bushings, bosal 2.5" full exhaust system with primary cat removed, magnaflow axle-back, 2003 LX enkei wheels, MP3 springs, sparkco wires w/ NGK plugs, MP3 ecu, MP3 valve cover, painted the headlights black, removed the side moldings, MSP guages with red matching odometer (work in progress,) ES converted dash lightning, MP3 floormats, and MP3 seats soon to be installed. Up next is essential speed shorty header and 03.5 MSP front end. I have no idea how much i've spent.

had my car almost two years, gone from knowing nothing to alot of something about cars, blown an engine, blown out my suspension, shredded a set of tires down to the wear strips, pulled the stock fuel pump, replaced two motor mounts, replaced the entire drivers side after my neighbor plowed her Town and Country into it, spent way too much money and had a lot fun doing it. approaching 40,000 miles and i have a flywheel, four rotors and a set of brake pads waiting for the money and time to install them with.

and the most important thing - made alot of new and great friends. Bryan, Matt, Mikey, Joe, Laura, Emad, Garyjon, Andix, James, Dimitrios, Gabe just to name a few.

good god, how much have i spent?

lemme think...

about 4800 bucks not including traveling to shows and entry fees and whatnot, nor maintenence. i could have a hiboost turbo on a stock car for like 4300 with everything i need, and although im not nearly fast enough for my tastes, i would rather have my car the way it is rather than stock with a hiboost turbo.

I will have had my car for 3 years On March 10th.
First thing I did was learn how to drive a stick.
got the clutch replaced under warranty
tinted the windows
I have been sideswiped.
Racked up 73 thousand miles on the car.
Got some rims, changed my tires once
got my body kit
had the car repainted
driven to Ga and back three times.
been all over florida
replaced my blets, and my passanger side axle (from accident)
got a system.
tore the interior inside and out.

and I too have met a lot of cool people. I am convinced that had I not have bought this car I wouldnt be who I am today. :D

spent
$6500

(werd)

this car in the 6 months has actually changed me too...greatly due to these forums and the people i have met...a lotta times i get REALLY interested in something and try and learn as much as possible about it and blah blah...then, i get over it...usually in like a month or two at most...

this is one thing that has sparked my interest.... and has stuck...i have gone from knowing JACK shit about cars...to yeah, still barely knowing stuff, but i have learned quite a bit...and plan on learning a shitload more:D

I met my current bf 3 years ago (wasnt a bf at the time) and ran into him back in Nov when I had to take the car to the dealership. I wouldnt have met him if I would have driven any other car because he works for mazda....the way the world works...

I am not going to even try to list the mods I have done. But lets just say I have been modding the car for about 2 years and I have $10k less in my pocket now.

i already have them. the pic in my sig is an old pic.

as a matter of fact the only reason i dont want to sell my stock amber ones is that i want to throw em back on, and get some like amber sidemarkers found on the mp3. i think that might look good on white.

4 weeks.... And I've managed to only blow $126.00 on it so far for my tint job. Spent like $170 on it total to get it where it is now...

And put 1500-1700 miles on it or so.

and filled it up at least once weekly...

And made myself a target for cops with 5% tint and a red neon license frame *which in my book looks kick butt.. .but then again I liked Knight Rider growing up, too but hated Baywatch, must've been the car*

Searched feverishly for hours to find other mazda owners til I found this board.

Day dreamed for hours at work about new things to do for my cool ride.

Been picked up on 3 different occasions by different guys who were looking at my car (maybe they watched Knight Rider too?).

Washed it 5 times.

Spent 5 hours at the performance store looking at cool stuff to put on the car like rims and things. (what a name that would be for a store... rims n' things)
