I was wondering if anyone has installed a strut bar in their 99 pro. Is this any good? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33591&item=2457204985

Thanks

that picture cant be specific to the protege.

proteges have 4 studs on the strut towers, the bar depicted only has 3 holes.

anyway for only $22.xx after shipping, i would be very wary of the quality of the product.

i have the OEM one found on MP3's, MSP's, and P5's with the option, and am very happy with it.

I picked up my strut brace off of ebay for $8 plus shipping- and I was very surprised at how good it actually was- still installed and it makes a big difference for cornering.

thats a different one- mine attaches with two bolts and that picture shows three- you would have to have two or four bolts, but that's probably just a generic pic, I would ask them

just to be real and honest, you can't feel a strut bar from normal driving unless you pulling enough G(think of making a sharp turn in high speed)

one pieces is better than three piece design, one piece with extension to the firewall is better than one piece alone.
you could go and spend 200dollar on those bar or you can have a 20dollar piece and save it for a set of anti-sway bar.

sway bar makes a day and night different

cliffnote: just buy that one for cheap and save for a set of sway bars
