Have you considered getting the compustar alarm (2 way alarm) with built in turbo timer? Mine's going in 2 weeks... Has a bunch of other fun & useful goodies too like remote start, paging, starter, ignition, and fuel cut... and a 2 minute turbo timer.

The alarm TT is great if you want an alarm. I would go that way. I have an APEXi TT. I love it.

How much is the Compustar and how big is the keychain remote?

Honestly I have no idea how much the compustar retails for. It's on a promotion through toprotege.com to Toronto. The keychain remote is slightly larger than the stock Mazda one and has a small antenna. But it's not big enough to be a hassle at all.

The dual way pager is sweet if you are away from your car. It comes with an auto start, alarm and has a 30 second countdown. Later...Brian

The compustar 2WFM-AS (Alarm, Starter, Turbo Timer) goes for about $350 CDN, and then you can expect to pay anywhere from $150-200 to have it installed on a manual transmission vehicle.
Here are some pictures of the Remote so you get an idea of size compared to the normal keychain remote.

I'd say the Compustar is the way to go. I'll be looking for an alarm in the spring, and with the weather we have been having lately, a starter would be really nice.
I'm going to check out Lockdown come spring
p.s. Nice to see some familiar names here too !
