block heater problem

Today I need to plug in my car because it is gonna be almost -40 tonite, and I have to park my car outside. I find that I can't completely close my hood because the block heater cable is on the way. Is there a way to fix this problem?

whats holding the cables? if they are tie raps just cut the first few

or you could take the cable through the bottom of the car?

i thought so too, but it is kinda short, and I can't get it through the grill as well
