WOW!
I never thought the 2nd gens could possibly look good (the rear end is hideous), but then I found this on CarDomain:

Just shows what a lot of $$ & hard work can do for you. (thumb)

I don't mean it's the new MSP (because there is none). The MSP is a 3rd gen Protege...that is a 2nd gen that was basically turned into a custom Mazdaspeed Protege.

You guys are so nieve.
There actually was a 95/6 Mazdaspeed Protege (acutally, it was a 323/Familia). Thats the one that is linked above (Andy Adan's is like the most famous in the 95-98 community)
There was also a 97/8 Mazdaspeed Protege/323/Familia. It actually looked alot similiar to mine... www.soundomain.com/id/kdawgone

heres one..its from protegetech.org hope this help in clearing and enlightening that there was a msp before the one we have here in the states...this got an award for the most intimidating car on one car event...to the owner sorry OHMEE..you know i love your car and ANDY's...this car has all MSP brand...the way you get the MSP before was to buy a car and slap on msp products...to officially get the ms name...this has everything...incuding the 4 lug wheels...

(i forgot the 'dd' and put just a single 'd' before)
I wasnt meaning to sound arogant, I would just expect that as Protege enthusists, youd now a little more about the history of Protege. I know tons about the the P5 and I dont own one.
But, I forgot. Your third gen owners...you dont care about anything pre-99....

Hahah. It's a-okay. It just came off as "hey dumbasses". I don't think anybody meant to offend 2nd gen owners either, I just think the 2nd gen is more common in Canada (per capita) than it was in the states so the exposure is a bit limited here for most.

they introduced thos cars in limited form...JAPAN/SINGAPOREor TAIWAN and THE PHILIPPINES only...europe didnt even get one...yes andy's car before it turned to that great show car was one of the original MS...i dunno if k dawg still has some pics of andy's old car looks. But just the old one will surely haul awards if you put it in show here in the USA...Just for being the most hard to find car and parts...

Its a SECOND GEN MAZDASPEED PROTEGE. I.E. a second gen protege/familia tuned by mazdaspeed. they also made a first gen. Ya'll arent the first to get a mazdaspeed version of your car, just the first in america :) and please, lets keep this civil :)

if your car came with the smallest engine, and you got generally shafted in comparision to all the other generations youd probably be bitchy too :)

And it likely wont to most 3gen people...you guys are the 'APC' generation...no appreciation for the EFFORT it takes to get our parts or the PRICE that it costs to get them....not to mention the waiting!
Many things, like the crystalized/clear headlights, you wont even notice as that is common on most cars now. And the red/clear tails; most people wont even notice the fact that they come orange/red from the factory....
Here, this a stock picture of my car:
