Turbo No spool

Okay... I cant hear my turbo spooling up anymore.... what gives....what could be wrong or am I just freaking out?

hahaha q-tips...bah, did u get your oil changed recently ? if so, it could be that. i had my car's oil changed @ the dealer, and when i got it back, the whistling noise of the turbo was gone, but the boost gauge still showed 6.5 psi. wouldn't you notice how slow your car would be going if your turbo wasn't spooling ? that'd be insane...insanely retarded ! jeeze...i'd start yelling if my car started lagging like a mofo if the turbo went offline

get a boost gauge and see whats going on, might have a boost leak :(

I dont hear a leak at all... and it still pulls super hard!! I just dont hear it at all...It kinda pisses me off...ohh well Im gonna take it to them and have them look at it....Its all free so no worries

I had a leak too!, but it was from my egr valve. the whole bolt unscrewed itself and vibrated all the way up the copper line. My car had no spool and serious lag when it happened. Probably back to the speed of the stock protege it was. It sounded like a 80's ford turck when i was driving. but if you don't hear anything then everything is fine, i woudln't worry. even though this has nothign to do with the vacum, check all your bolts and shit too just to be safe. :) happy motoring

I can hear mine spool at 1/2-3/4 throttle, but not at WOT. I dunno if the engine noise is louder or what, but I noticed the sound going away, too.
