Well after 2.5 years of ownership, the protege glass finally cracked :( . I was driving to the movies last night, with a car probably 4-5 car lenghts ahead of me. Then out of nowhere, BAM, and i probably jumped out of my seat lol. But now theres a nice 8-9" long crack going from the side of the windsheild and starting to curve down toward the inspection sticker.
I know numerous people have had their windows cracked, so what should i expect a replacement to cost?

Damn man... I think you can get it replaced for 300-400. Maybe even a bit cheaper. Some of the MSP guy's have had stress cracks so they may have a concrete figure somewhere.
They won't be coming to the MP3 Section though :)

that sucks... i'd guess around 350..
I hate stupid car expenses... less money for the important stuff.
hmm....that sucks mayn. it shouldn't be too much to replace your window i think. our old mazda mpv had a cracked window and replaced it for not too much.

How weird! I was driving 2 days ago and no one was on the road except a car 4 car lengths ahead of me. The car threw a small rock at my MP3 and chipped the windshield in 2 spots. I had Harmon glass fix the cracks/chips. You can see a small smudge where it is, but better than getting a $650 claim on my insurance. Good Luck.

I got mine replaced for $230 at Manchester Auto Glass. So I guess I'm one of the 'lucky' ones. Heh.

I have had to buy 2 windsheilds in 2 years. They ran me about $200 each, installed.
